So, I desperately hoped this would be a good night. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. When on form, My Vitriol are amazing, but this was far from it. I hate writing negative reviews, but it had to be done. To make matters worse, I somehow lost my entire set of photos – with […]
Paul Weller headlined a sold out Royal & Derngate on Sunday night. Joined by former Northampton men Andy Crofts on bass and Ben Gordelier on percussion, Weller went down a storm. Below is Jeremy Casey’s review of the gig which accompanied my photos: It’s not every day of the week that […]
Just a couple from last night’s Frank Cater & The Rattlesnakes gigs at the KOKO. Nightmare nightmare lighting and the busiest photo pit I’ve been in at the KOKO – other than that etc etc.
Black Honey headlined Esquires in Bedford last night. Great gig and absolutely packed. The Brighton four piece are currently playing across the UK, touring in support of their latest single Somebody Better. These guys have some cracking tunes, full of pop hooks. Absolutely worth checking out if you can. For […]
Idles kicked off their UK tour at Esquires last night. Easily the best gig I’ve seen this year so far and I’m pretty certain come December, this’ll be in the running for one of the best of 2017. The band is out on a huge jaunt across the UK so […]
Another Independent Venue Week gig, this time Goldie Lookin Chain. Three legends from the Welsh rap collective are out on tour and played to a pretty much sold out Craufurd Arms on Saturday. Pictured is Eggys and Rhys (above) and DJ Killer Tom.
Amber Arcades headlined Esquires as part of Independent Venue Week. Pictured front woman Annelotte de Graaf.
Not strictly Independent Venue Week this one, but two great bands at a great Independent venue, just before #IVW17. Estrons, pictured above and Indian Queens below. Both were ace, with probably Indian Queens edging it for me. They’ve next to nothing out currently, but deserve your attention. Their debut single […]
Here’s a few photos from Avenged Sevenfold who headlined the Genting Arena in Birmingham on Friday. There’s more photos of all the band on the bill and a review running across Johnson Press sites in the Midlands.
First gig of 2017. Devil You Know kicked off their UK tour at the Cruafurd Arms on Tuesday. The band is fronted by former Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones and also features former Bleeding Through bassist, Ryan Wombacher, Trivium drummer Nick Augusto and All Shall Perish guitarist Francesco Artusato.
