IVW – Will Varley – The Black Prince, Northampton

Will Varley’s headline gig at The Black Prince as part of Independent Venue Week was another I went into not knowing much about.

The singer-songwriter is one of the founding members of the arts collective Smugglers Records and headed to Northampton for one of half a dozen IVW gigs.

The Brixton native played a great set of alt-folk, with tracks taken from across his back catalogue, including his most recent LP Machines Will Never Learn To Make Mistakes Like Me which was released last year.
