Twinfest has been a mainstay on the Northampton music calendar for a long time now – bringing acts from twinned towns in Germany and France to play alongside some of the county’s best music talent.

This year, organisers invited XOXO le World and Torino from Poitier and Marburg respectively.

As usual, Twinfest took over venues across Northampton for four days of live music with the Roadmender, The King Billy, V&B and The Charles Bradlaugh all taking part.

Scheduling conspired against me this year and I was only able to make the opening night at the Roadmender, which was headlined by Veins who were joined by both visiting acts.

Veins released their debut album A New Forever in June and despite having seen them many times over the years, it was the first time since the release of their record.
