Billy Lockett has just released his new album things are looking up and to mark its release played an in-store acoustic set at HMV in Northampton.
The record is the follow up to lock its debut album Abington Grove and has seen the singer songwriter settle into a bit to a more acoustic groove on this record compared to his piano led ballads on his debut.
Lockett would go on to feature in 10 of the official UK album charts, reaching number 50 50 in the Official UK Albums Chart but more importantly topping the Indie Breakers Chart which was a massive achievement for the musician.
Lockett has recently been out on his own UK headline tour and also played two dates at the Royal Albert Hall in London supporting Zucchero Fornaciari.
You never really know how these install gigs we’re going to go but there was a great crowd in for it with fans getting to watch Lockett paly some of the new tracks from the album as well as sign copies of the record.
Also in attendance was Lockett’s mum who has become the unintended star of his recent viral videos where he’s been chanting the realities of being an independent musician, taking his followers through sales of the album on a weekly basis.
