Evanescence are one of those bands who haven’t really been on my radar for over 20 years.

However, they returned to the Utilita Arena in Birmingham this week as part of a UK tour to support their lates album Sanctuary.

Musically, it’s not particularly my sorta thing but credit has got to be given to frontwoman Amy Lee who sounds as good in 2026 as she did on the band’s debut album Fallen in 2003.

Joining Evanescence were Poppy and K.Flay.

We were able to photograph K.Flay and Evanescence but not Poppy sadly.

However, knowing she would be joining Evanescence towards the end of their set, we hung around as this was one of those rare occasions where photographers were able to shoot the whole show.

There’s a full review of the gig running over on the Birmingham World website here.

More photos from gigs at the Utilita Arena are available on this site here.
