Jonah Matranga, The Three Cocks, Kettering

Former Far / New End Original – current Onelinedrawing man Jonah Matranga headlined The Three Cocks in Kettering on Wednesday. An amazing show by one of post-hardcore’s* most influential singer songwriters. (*Or whatever the hell loose categorisation you want to give to that sound!). Jonah’s acoustic set featured songs from across his career and was largely made up of requests from the audience with accompanying stories behind some of the songs. I’ve seen some great gigs  this year, but this was among the best.

Honourable mention to Run Your Tongue / Rob Reeves for a great booking. Jonah’s UK tour heads back to the region on Sunday, December 6 when he plays in Oundle. For details, visit http://jonahmatranga.com
