Kneecap – O2 Academy, Birmingham

It’s been a bit of a high profile year for Kneecap. In and out of the national news on a regular basis, their UK tour pulled in to Birmingham on Thursday night.

Despite having been a fan of the band for some time, this was my first time seeing the Irish rap trio as well as photographing them.

Bit of a nightmare to shoot, given so much of it was backlit. However, the performance and atmosphere were amazing.

Support was by Australian Aboriginal rapper Miss Kaninna.

There’s a full review of the gig running over on Birmingham World which you can read here.

More photos from gigs at the venue are available on this site here.
