Happy Mondays – Royal & Derngate, Northampton

Manchester legends Happy Mondays returned to Northampton to headline a sold-out gig at Royal & Derngate.

The band’s 13-song set was mainly made up of tracks from 1988 album Bummed and its successor Pills ā€˜n’ Thrills and Bellyaches.

Now in their fourth decade together, the Mondays sounded better than they probably ever have done – even if Ryder isn’t as mobile as he used to be.

Support was by Inspiral Carpets and Stereo MC’s.
