The Flaming Lips – O2 Academy, Birmingham

The Flaming Lips kicked off their UK tour at the O2 in Birmingham this week – playing all of their acclaimed 2002 album Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots in full.

This was an absolute pleasure to shoot. More bands should be this fun. At times during the set the stage was filled with giant inflatable pink robots and a rainbow with ‘ticker-tape’ filled balloons also thrown out among the crowd.

There’s a full review of the gig running over on the Birmingham World website.
