Cropredy Convention returned to Williamscot for Fairport Convention's annual three day festival. Fairport Convention returned to the village of Williamscot for their annual festival, Cropredy Convention. This year, the hosts were joined by headliners Nile Rodgers and CHIC and 10cc. I was only available to cover the opening two days this year, so it's not as much of an extensive gallery of photos as it's been in previous years. After two years off due to the coronavirus, thousands of people headed to Williamscot for the return of Crorpedy Convention. One of the key festivals on the folk rock circuit, hosts Fairport Convention were joined by fellow headliners the Trevor Horn Band and Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited as well as dozens of other acts across the three days. Cropredy Convention returned for three days last week. Here's a few photos including Skinny Lister, Paul Carrack, Toyah Willcox, Level 42's Mark King, the Cropredy site and Katzenjammer. Probably a tie between Skinny Lister and Katzenjammer in terms of best band during the three days. Fairport Convention's Cropredy Contention took place over three days this week. The festival, held on the border of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire is one of the real success stories of this region in a summer which has seen both Alt-Fest and Another World festivals cancelled. It sold out its 20,000 capacity in advance of the festival and plans are already under way for next year's event.
